WHAT WE DO
In this time of forgetting
I try to recall
The way things were
Great flocks of birds, blackening the sky
Navigating their journeys
I remember
And in this time of forgetting
We draw closer to a silent Spring
Little pockets of wild creatures
Here and there
Clinging on and waiting
For the humans to remember
What we do to the Earth
So we do to each other
What we do to the Earth
So we do to ourselves
Remember...
